Philips has launched 6 mobile phones in India which are environment friendly and these 6 phones come under a series named Xenium. The fact that why this series comes under green mobile is, X series mobiles are Lead-Free soldered with Carton for packaging material and recycled paper for user manual.
The expensive mobile of this Xenium series X806 comes with 3-inch touch 262K color TFT display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, dual sim and upto 8 GB of memory via a microSD card. The other attractive features of X806 include Bluetooth stereo music and 1 month of standby time.This series will make an impact in low and medium range mobile markets as these mobile costs vary from Rs. 1,776 to Rs. 8,280. The approximate cost of this series mobile phones X116, X121, X513, X513, X523 and X806 were Rs. 1,776, Rs. 2,760, Rs. 4,776, Rs. 4,992, Rs. 5,976 and Rs. 8,280 respectively.The solid bar X523 is also a dual sim mobile loaded with a 3.2-megapixel camera, 32 GB memory card with an impressive talk time of 16 hours and upto 50 days standby time.When comparing the low-cost mobiles, X116 has Bluetooth and camera while X121 does not. Also X116 has 4 GB external memory slot compared to 2 GB memory slot in X121.The X518 and X513 has 2-megapixel camera with 2.8″ and 2.2″ TFT screens respectively. Also there is not a much difference in both the cost and features in these phones X518 and X513.
